The recent development of artificial intelligence, which is based on ML, urged us to apply the disease finding, disease classification, a decision-making system, and so on. I believe that the ML based medicine is a natural way to proceed. However, the important thing is not only to apply the ML technology in the various medical problems, but also to understand the causality in those problems : That’s the approach in the physics, and the quantitative consideration in the research in physics yields almost same ways used in the ML. In addition, the state-of-the-art ML such as a deep learning, becomes one of the powerful tools in a discovery in physics.
